Laces are too short for my J's

I ordered the 54" Grey Laces. I expected it to be as long as the stock laces of my jordan. Because I measured the stock white laces, it's almost 54 inches. But the grey laces on hand is 10 inches shorter than it is expected. Kinda disappointed with the actual measurement, I can't tie my J's. I can only do unlaced styling on it.
